My parents drove me to Rockefeller Chapel on campus earlier today where my graduation was being held. When I arrived, it was great to see everyone from my class. They were all in a hurry..putting on gowns and adjusting caps. Man, it all happened so fast. Soon, all of us were crammed in the chapel's basement minutes before we were marching in front of hundreds of family and friends to "pomp and circumstance." I sat there, smiling, listening to my peers, my teachers, and before I knew it, the whole story of my school career was summerized by the closeness of my classments around me, cheering, clapping...and my name was called, I hugged Mrs. Katz., ...felt my very own diploma in my hands... gently opened it up...to see my name..written in ink...pure evidence of the years spent, friendships made, experiences had, memories remembered from the University of Chicago Laboratory School.
