well, i'm back home. after being in ann arbor for a little over 10 months and then spending what's left of my summer here for two before i head back to school again, life is strange for me. i feel out of the loop. to think, that for all my life, i had gone to school at home and spent my summers here...and found some sort of way to entertain myself! heh...now everything seems, well, slower and more boring than it used to be.

i already miss my girls of 1407! apartment living couldn't have gone smoother. esther, christina, and julie, thanks for the good times and memories. i won't forget them! esther's bubble (consisting of her desk, computer, and speakers), christina's dreams and spider mishaps, and julie's random, but well timed, humor. =) nothing this summer is going to beat the roommate bonding i had with you guys! GO GEJCFOTOSEVN! yes, there will definitely be reunions throughout the upcoming year! (photohunt anyone?)

OH...and i started work yesterday at Ryerson Tull. (sigh. once again, 8am-5pm) everything's pretty much the same as last year, yet different in some way too. current list of RyTull perks:

1. desk, cubicle, computer, phone, two chairs - all dusty for some reason and sans swanky hanger.

2. free coffee and hot chocolate, vending machines, microwave, and fridge - the "cafeteria" is being remodeled so us employees have the use the smaller version upstairs. they are also re-doing the office walls.

3. i had chipolte yesterday and pho noodles today - lunch is more expensive. it (pho noodles) still comes with the "free" boba tea, but you can't choose the flavor of your choice. milk tea only. =
4. good ol' work. i do a lot more filing now...hopefully my computer will be set up later this week. woo.

5. if i think of anything else i'll write about it.

there are things that are lacking at work and it's lonely. perhaps i'll bring a plant in tomorrow.

esther wanted to quote me on her AIM profile, but i figured that i'm already good at embarrassing myself. hence:

i cut my wrist by accident today...on a shoebox.

on lighter note, i bought a new pair of running shoes! they are New Balance 806's. i've always been an Adidas person, but hopefully with these i can achieve new balance ahaha...ha...sigh. anyway, no longer will i have an excuse for running or doing any sort of "intense" workout. it's time to get in shape again!

.:i mispelled achieve. just changed it...thanks to ever observant roommate. :.

it rained pretty much all this morning and afternoon. after coming back from church, i pretty much ended up sleeping the whole entire afternoon and then sat around staring at the window. yeah, gloomy weather will do that to you. i got absolutely nothing done.

though i'm not a huge fan...i have to admit that to a certain extent, i like rain. nothing really compares to the sound fat droplets make when they fall from the sky and splash onto pavement.

yup, quite refreshing, and even more so after it's all over.

quickly, before i collapse. while wasting my time again not sleeping, i decided to visit my blog site and re-read my old entries from last year. what i discovered was that the way i use to write is very different from how my entries sound now. though they were very random, i feel that before, they were also interesting, entertaining, and overall more enjoyable to read in comparison to anything recent. (perhaps i'm the only one who's noticed this) i wrote about nothing and it was great. now, everything that i "publish" is just flowery sounding and well, blah...

randomness is so cool and completely underestimated. i miss it. ahh...two entries from the past:

After some more researching at the Reg after school, I was heading over to the C-shop to grab some coffee when I bumped into my MUN committee moderator!
It was pretty cool since Michael had e-mailed me yesterday saying how we should meet up sometime on campus. So we went over to the C-shop to get some coffee..when I realized that I only had a dollar on me. It was pretty embarrassing ordering coffee, having it being made, and then frantically searching in your wallet for various metal coins. In the end, I could only afford this stale lump of a muffin. Needless to say, I ate all of it while we chatted about different Ethnic clubs on campus, college, and what-not. I find that the less and less I think about school, the more and more I find myself relaxing. I had the worst knot in my left shoulder today. Oh man, it hurt so much! I kept on massaging it and then cracking my neck and back to loosen myself up, the people sitting next to me in my classes kept on staring and giving me disgusted looks. The pain didn't go away till left the school buidling. Figures. I can't wait to get outta that joint! Alright well..I don't have much to say now but-uh, yeah..on to learning some more calculus.

* the Reg: Regenstein, dreaded hell hole of a library at the University of Chicago
* C-shop: The, well, C-shop. Trendy, cozy, coffee study place at the University of Chicago
* MUN: Model United Nations. Ultimate debate experience.
** I just realized talking about Ethinc clubs on campus, and college is, in a way, thinking about school...but for some reason..it wasn't forced. =)

Ah.. now where would I be without a mocha frappachino???
Who can resist this delicious blend of caramel swirls and ice cold coffee goodness?? *sigh* This is indeed, one of the best solutions for surviving sweltering hot wheather in the middle of April.
Yesterday, I was sitting at home looking out the window from my room at my neighbor's kids across the street. Apparently they had gotten their dirty lil' hands on a huge-ass trampoline that was surrounded by some sort of netting-like cage. So, there were these kids- it looked like five or six of them - jumping up and down..up and jump along with two large orange plastic balls in a cage. I was like, what the heck? I want to go frolic! ..yeah, it didn't help that my neighbor's dog was outside too..it was just sitting there not doing anything at all, though i think it turned its head from time to time..but yeah, that was about it.
