for the longest time, I've always seen myself as a west coast person. San Francisco was the "ultimate city." it was where i wanted to begin my life after college, after graduate school, and after i finally get a job. however, after travelling coast to coast this week and finally been given a rare opportunity to compare east to west...i'm not so sure. perhaps there is some east coast in me. i was in New York City earlier this week. luckily, i left right before the massive blackout and was able to enjoy the city in all its well lit glory. in my profile is a picture taken from a side street off of times square. it was actually my friend jack's idea to capture the rising smoke as it filtered the neon light from the building behind it. so kudos to jhsu for this great shot! i'm in my beloved San Francisco right now...and for some reason it doesn't appeal to me as much as before. i probably just need to give it more time to sink in...argh!i don't have time for a detailed entry now, but if i'm not lazy after i get back from my trip, i'll definitely write more. apologies for being extremely vague. words elude me.
