Following in Binet's footsteps, all test developers make it a point to include many tasks and derive an IQ score by averaging a subject's performance on the different items. when i thought my day couldn't get any worse, the woman at the Village Apothecary cashier made things a little better. it's not like she said anything encouraging or did anything out of the ordinary, but just the way she was so cheerful brought a smile to my face. though the feeling was temporary, i am so thankful for people like that who just radiate genuine happiness.

the world needs more of them because they're so rare.

the rest of us struggle with the fact that being content with our lives is just not enough.
