I'm back home. Yeah, the past day and a half has been wonderful. At first, I was a bit nervous about coming home...because to a certain extent I don't really live here anymore. Being at Michigan has definitely made me feel farther away. It made me think that home is the past. However, after seeing some familiar faces today and spending quality time with friends...perhaps I'm wrong and things are different. With Thanksgiving just around the corner I often don't realize the people and places I'm thankful for. So, this time, I guess I just wanted to say I'm thankful for those things. I'm thankful for home.

Thank You

ahh, there you have it...forever archived in my blog/xanga.

so when i was walking by wilmot today, these red ants with wings flew out of the bushes and attacked me. before i knew it they were crawling all over my pants and my shirt. quite nasty. thankfully, i protected my coffee first so they wouldn't get to it. mmm...coffee.

thanks to dan for reminding me about this away message i had a little while back. i'm surprised i never posted it because it totally seems like something i would post. oh and thanks to post-it notes too.

a latte from Espresso Royale + a "Mega-Roulette" of Haribo gummies.

yes.

today i discovered this surprisingly good combination of drink and candy while i was finishing up some Chinese homework. the subtle fruitiness of a gummy in addition to a sip of smooth bittersweet concoction was quite gratifying! it restored me back to life, espcially since i felt like i was dying today. though many may think the thought of this idea is absurd, the fruity-coffee taste really isn't as bad as it seems. ^_^

also, not long after i had started my homework, a random guy came up to me and started raving about what an awesome experience 1st year Chinese was for him. he then suggested that i take Tao Laoshi out to lunch... random, but cool i guess. Oh! ...and speaking of random, it's the beginning of November and i can pull off a skirt and t-shirt! Woot! ahh, it's about 70 degrees outside and i want to go frolic. if i had gotten more sleep the night before, perhaps i'd be able to go about and do it. i need sleep.
Looked out my window last night,
From my pillow and I,
Saw the willow weeping a causal sigh.
Man in the moon looked rather,
Sad and confused as if he'd,
Become a mirror to my watery eyes.
I dreamed and prayed through the night,
Please send some grace with Your morning light

And he sent you along like a summer day
With a blue-sky smile on your funny face
And a bird flew by singing eveything's gonna be, ok yeah
So we laughed all day with the man in the moon
And we thanked the good Lord for the afternoon
'Cause he showed me His love by sending me you
And it's ok now
Everything's ok

Opened my window tonight,
Hear the rain falling light,
Wispering that everything is alright.
Long, low, and gentle rumble,
Starts in the west and tumbles,
Across the corners of the colorless sky.
I blow a kiss through the dark,
Sails on the thunder and reaches heaven's heart.

We laughed all day,
And we thanked the good Lord,
'Cause He showed me His love,
Ok now

Everything's ok

Sometimes I get so caught up with struggles in life, I forget about how everything's gonna be all good in the end. Everything's ok, right?
