shopping is an exhuasting process. today Ting-Ting and i went to Somerset in Troy to look for the perfect dress.

the goals: to cover both sides of a huge mall in 2-3 hours, to not get anything black (i love black, but i need change), and to not spend an obsene amount of money

simple enough, right? haha...wrong! what started as a day full of energy and excitement soon turned into a day of full of frustration and stress - all thanks to our friend, fashion! in my opinion, the trends these days have been extremely disappointing. fifties style polka-dots, frills, ribbons, bows combined with gaudy pastel fabric is apparently what's in for spring. there was a dress by Besty Johnson that was, i believe, pink and neon green. yes people, that's right, the perfect mixture of a nightmare come true.

Ting and i seriously couldn't find a thing, and what was considered relatively decent was also way out of our price range. we spent a little over 3 hours power shopping and i bought a black dress that was too expensive. in otherwords, i failed misrably...

i say down with dresses! wouldn't you agree that worn out jeans are oh so much sexier?

(if i hurt anyone's feelings on fashion with this entry, i'm terribly sorry...but seriously, go out and buy something tasteful for a change)
