it took about 8 hours on the road to get home. yes, snow was falling furiously. by the time we made it to the indiana border, i believe there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground. go donald for excellent SUV driving. thank god for making it back safely.
it's been nice being back home. i was welcomed by a homecooked meal and parents i haven't seen in months. i'm already not ready to go back. one of our large, beautiful trees in the backyard (the one opposite to the maple and closest to our house) was split in half by the storm. our bird feeder is also broken. whatever's left of it stands upright between the tree's fallen branches.

We did it girls! Thank you all so much for such amazing memories! Although we had our ups and downs, drama, crazy times , etc - I am SO inrecredibly greatful for spending it with you! Thank you Ann and Mia for always being there for us and guiding us to the end!
